Walt Disney World at Night
One of the best times in the theme parks is at night. It was rumoured to be Walt's favourite time.
One show not to miss is Fantasmic in DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS . Ask yourself why guests during busy periods decide to wait in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre for 90 minutes in order to get a good seat. This is an amazing show that combines favourite animated characters with water projection, fireworks, lasers and magic. There is always a buzz of excitement from the audience waiting, which heightens as the show approaches. No one seems to mind waiting in fact usually a Mexican Wave moves from one end of the amphitheatre to the other or cast members put on an entertaining pre-show. To describe the show would spoil the element of surprise, although this does not stop guests returning again and again. Some elements of the show could be frightening to young children, but rest assured that Mickey does defeat the evil villains in the end.
Spectromagic makes a regular appearance in the MAGIC KINGDOM. As well as having a far better music in comparison to the immensely irritating soundtrack of the inferior Main Street Electrical Parade, the Spectromagic parade has beautiful imagery, symphony and lively characters. It will truly "live in your dreams" forever. The "Wishes" spectacular follows and is a beautiful combination of fireworks, music and lights. You may even see Tinker Bell fly from Cinderella's castle.
Illuminations at EPCOT must be the most spectacular and moving fireworks display in the world. Pick your viewing place carefully to avoid overhanging trees which would obscure the overhead display. If you want a clear view, take up position at least an hour before the display begins. There are many ideal viewing locations all around the World Showcase lagoon.
