Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios brings together the world of films, stunts and special effects in one park . This theme park, formerly known as Disney - MGM Studios, had its name changed in January 2008 to reflect in the words of Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton "how the park has grown from representing the golden age of movies to a celebration of the new entertainment that today's Hollywood has to offer—in music, television, movies and theater."
You can get right to the midst of the movies at the Great Movie Ride and the Backlot tour and learn all the tricks of the trade at the Magic of Disney Animation and the Sounds Dangerous soundstages. When your children want to let off steam they can shrink to the size of ants and slide through an adventure inspired by the hit movie, Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
You are unlikely to miss the major rides, such as Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, both of which have the FastPass facility. Make sure you also don't miss shows such as the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid" & "Beauty and the Beast".
The newest show is Lights, Motors, Action!, an extreme stunt show, which demonstrates the tricks of the trade in a most entertaining way, combining motorcycle and cars in an exciting show which puts together an amazing chase sequence before your eyes.
The highlight of the evening is the "Fantasmic" show - a battle between good and evil with lots of Disney characters. Don't miss Mickey in a different role as the Sorcerer's Apprentice using all the effects that the imagineers at Disney can come up with.
The star from the latest Disney and Pixar movie, "WALL-E", appear everyday in the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade and at character greetings at The Magic of Disney Animation attraction. There is also a High School Musical Block Party where you can sing and dance along.
